Do you guarantee the privacy of my information?
Absolutely! Be Happy in LIFE guarantees never to use any details or anything client say without getting their permission first. At the end of the program, clients are asked to write a feedback and you can choose whether you want this information to stay confidential or not.
Do I need to sign a parent coaching agreement?
Our parent coaching agreement is a good way to help our clients feel that they will get a quality service, but also to get commitment from them, which is essential. The agreement sets out the terms and conditions for a successful delivery of the parent coaching service and for achieving results. Be Happy in LIFE uses a simple but comprehensive agreement as a good foundation for any parent coaching adventure.
What is the difference between parent coaching and counselling?
Counselling is a past-focused discipline, in which the counsellor identifies the reasons for the person’s feelings and behaviours and offers ways to handle a particular issue. Unfortunately, this often gives the client a label, e.g. “I’m depressed”, which they use to justify their actions and thereby limit their ability to change.
Some clients come to us after experiencing counselling when they get tired of having reasons and excuses and want to move forward.
In parent coaching, we do not dwell on the reasons, because we want to avoid this negative outcome. Instead, we focus on the future, because no matter what has happened in the past, any person can make it better and learn to achieve, grow and be happy.
What is the difference between parent coaching and teaching or educating?
Education is typically about giving information or introducing knowledge and skills about specific topics. Some parts of our program consist of teaching – passing on the knowledge of human behaviour, success and happiness. Many clients are very good at memorising that knowledge and some of them already have that knowledge, yet they find it hard to use this knowledge to make a change.
Have you ever said, “I know what I need to do, but don’t know how?” How many times have you read an awesome book and said, “I will make a change NOW”, and after three days, you have lost that motivation? You are not alone. Many people experience the same thing.
Everyone can benefit from learning about the way our brain works and the theories and research available to help us achieve happiness. The knowledge is applicable to everyone, but not everyone can implement it.
Parent coaching is more than teaching. It gives clients the knowledge of what they need to do, the tools that help them do it and the support and guidance they need along the way until they gain control over their mind, body and soul. The life coach will stay with them as long as they want and help them implement those new skills.
Parent coaching deals with the things that are important to the parents. This makes parent coaching incredibly effective, because they can see positive results right away and it encourages them to continue to improve themselves, so they get better and better results. At the same time, their confidence grows, until they feel they can handle just about anything about their parenting and then they are happy parents and as we say, Happy Parents Raise Happy Kids.
What’s special about the Be Happy in LIFE parenting program?
At Be Happy in LIFE, we believe that our internal world is reflected by the world around us. This means that we must first become who we want to be and the results will follow. We also believe that other people are key to our success and happiness in life. This means that if we learn to give others what they want, through strong relationships, they will give us what we want. In fact, they will go out of their way to make us successful and happy.
We have done extensive research on communication styles, love languages, motivation and rapport building and added these powerful tools to our parent coaching toolkit. Time and time again, we see how these tools help our clients come to terms with who they are (“I’m OK”), who they are dealing with (“You’re OK”) and how to relate effectively. They also learn to “store” positiveness and love during good times for “emotional winters”, when these reserves come in handy.
Our parent coaching program is holistic and long-term focused. We work with you to build emotional intelligence and then teach you how to sustain and even enhance the positive changes in yourself and your family. In a sense, you become your own family’s life coach. This combination ensures sustainable change and growth long after the parent coaching is over.
The essence of philosophy is that a man should so live that his happiness shall depend as little as possible on external things.

This blog attracts about 50,000 readers from around the world each month and was established in 2004.
Ronit thinks that people can (and should) live a happy life by learning basic emotional skills to manage their feelings and actions and to take charge of their life and that parents are best to pass on those skills to their children.
Ronit believes that
Parents are very important agents of their children’s identity. To support their kids’ development, they need to be able to support themselves. Good parents master the art of giving, but in order for them to give, they have to have enough. Parenting requires high emotional intelligence. If we want to raise a generation of happy kids we need to focus on teaching them happiness and the best way to do that is by being role models ourselves. Only happy parents can raise happy kids.
Do I need to commit to a certain number of parent coaching sessions?
Although our parent coaching has 5 sessions, you do not have to commit to use all of them. In many life coaching arrangements, you will be asked to commit to 3, 5, 10 or more parent coaching sessions and pay for them in advance. We believe that commitment is essential to your success, but we are confident in our ability to give tremendous value with our parent coaching without advance payment.
Commitment to an unknown journey defeats the purpose of our life coaching program, because it takes away control rather than giving it to the clients. We want our clients to come to our parent coaching sessions because they see the value, not because we hold their money they have paid in advance.
In our parent coaching agreement, clients commit only to doing their best for themselves and paying for the sessions that they receive. You may stop at any stage. In fact, we aim to finish the program as soon as possible to prevent clients from considering themselves as “needing help” and “fixing” so when they are on the right track we prepare them for separation and ask them after every session if they still think they need to come.
How many parent coaching sessions do I need?
The full life coaching program contains 25 modules that are matched to each client based on their needs. After many years of coaching thousands of parents, we picked the five most profound and effective sessions. We recommend clients to complete the first 4 sessions, by which time they will be well on their way to gain control over their life. On average, though most of them chose to finish the program.
Our goal is to make sure the program is short so clients do not create a dependency. The more they use therapists, the more inadequate they may feel which is the opposite of what life coaching is all about (empowerment). The more quickly they reach their goal, the more successful they see themselves. (And so are we)
How long is each parent coaching session?
Parent coaching sessions take about 90 minutes, but we ask that you allow for 2 hours when arranging drop off and pick up. We do not believe in “one size fits all” and we will not stop the session because the time is up. If we are in the middle of something important, we will take the time to complete the session, even if that extends the time.
In our full day workshop we recommend scheduling time from 9:00 to 5:00 with two short breaks and one lunch break and we usually adjust the time table to suit the clients or the organising body.
How often will I meet with the coach?
Most of our parent coaching clients want to start seeing results quickly and we believe that gradual, steady improvement is much more permanent so we have scheduled the session to increase the gap. To help our clients stay motivated and incorporate their learning into their daily life, we have designed the program to increase the gaps between the sessions gradually.
- The gap between sessions 1 and 2 is about 2 weeks.
- The gap between sessions 2 and 3 is about 3 weeks
- The gap between sessions 3 and 4 is about 4 weeks.
If you do the calculation you will find that it will require 4-5 month to complete 5 sessions. All clients, even those wanting to “speed” the process and meet every week end up extending the gaps between the sessions. We believe this is a healthy process and a sign of growth, independence and confidence and around session 4 we encourage our clients to take control over their growth and development and determine their desired gap.
No, not everyone is the same and not everyone is 100% comfortable with increasing the gaps in between sessions, this is why the coach will be in email or phone contact with the clients to assess if the gap is healthy or too long. If things happen in between and the client needs to see your coach earlier, they are able to contact the coach and re-schedule their session to suit their needs. In between sessions the life coach will provide ongoing support outside the sessions and encourage clients to spend as much time as they feel comfortable exploring and integrating their new skills.
Aren’t you afraid that if clients become their own life coaches they will not use your services any more?
No. We think that dependency contradicts self-control, empowerment and responsibility. We feel that we are successful when our clients have established a life coaching mentality and are masters of communication.
Often, people around the client need help too and having a life coaching mentality can help explain to those people how to support the client’s change. We are sure that difficulties and challenges will be part of any client’s life and push him/her off course. Having the right tools, the right habits and the right mentality will help every person taking the program to coach him/herself back on track. Some coaches believe we are giving away trade secrets, but we think everyone should know how to be happy in life.
Also, we did not invent all this information. It has been there for many years, spoken and written by the biggest philosophers of all times. There is no magic ingredient. We just know how to combine everything and present it in an easy and effective way and we are happy to share the recipe with everyone.
We offer a free personal development blog, coaching workshops, parenting classes, presentations, motivational speaking and books to share our knowledge with as many people as possible. If every life coaching client can help 5 more people, we can easily make the world a better place. We are not afraid, we are happy to welcome more people into the Be Happy in LIFE family, to help spread happiness, love, caring, acceptance and success in our world.
